Poker chips and help?!!?

whenever i watch the wpt or the wsop before the flop whenever someone bets the person who is next in line to either bet call or fold doesnt have to match the certain amount that the other player bets how does that work?

I think what you asking is when one player bets, say 420,000, and another player only has to call 300,000. but a situation like that is likely due to the blinds. if the big blind has put in 120,000 already then he only has to call the remaining difference between the Blind and the Bet because that player already has 120,000 of that raise in the pot.
